Privacy at EasySay

By . Published . Updated .

EasySay itself sets no cookies.

It saves a few choices on your own device, counts visits without following you around, and stores a message only when you send one. If you choose Allow ads, Google's ad code may set cookies. This page lists what is saved and how to change your ad choice.

Written for EasySay, in our own words.

What is saved on your device

EasySay itself sets no cookies. It saves a few entries in your browser’s local storage, and nothing in local storage is sent to us. You can clear it at any time in your browser settings.

  • hubs.ads: Your choice about ads (Allow ads or No ads), and whether you said you are under 18. Only when you make a choice.
  • me.stamped.v2.*: Which practice sets you have finished, one entry for each set, so the site can show your progress. Only when you finish a set.
  • easysay:countries: Your country choice is saved on your device only.

Some tools offer to keep what you wrote on your device, as the interview answer builder does. That text is kept in local storage only when you tick the box.

What is counted

Visits are counted with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and does not store anything on your device. Where product analytics are switched on, they run through this site itself and keep their state in memory only, so nothing is kept between visits. Product analytics do not start when your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control.

Messages you send

A message sent through the contact form is stored with the page it was sent from and the country the request came from. Your name and email address are stored only if you give them.

We use your email address to answer you, and only if you ask us to. A copy of the message may be sent to the person who makes EasySay by email.

The form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to tell people from automatic programs. Messages and corrections are deleted 12 months after we deal with them. Feedback is deleted after 6 months.

We ask you not to send passport numbers, visa numbers or case details. We cannot give immigration advice.

The waitlist

EasySay may ask whether you want one email when a paid practice pack is ready. If you join, we store your email address, which pack you asked about, the date, the words you agreed to, and your country. We use the address for that one email and nothing else.

We do not send a confirmation email. We delete the address within 12 months. The waitlist is not offered to anyone who has said they are under 18.

Ads

Ads pay for EasySay. Reading pages only, never on questions.

Ads are shown only if you choose Allow ads and have not said you are under 18. In Europe, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, Google’s own message asks for your choice first.

Once you choose Allow ads, Google’s ad code may set and read cookies or similar identifiers on your device. Google is a third party, and this can happen even for ads that are not personalised. Google explains how in how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

Who is responsible

EasySay is responsible for this site. To ask what we hold about you, or to have it deleted, use the contact page. The terms of use and the about page say more about the site.
